African Conference on the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC)

The African Conference on the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) brought together participants for discussions within the framework of the Biological Weapons Convention. The conference programme included five parallel breakout discussions, each requiring dedicated multilingual interpretation support to enable participants to engage effectively across the different sessions.

TISEH Limited provided professional conference interpretation services in Nairobi, supporting the parallel breakout sessions with a deployment of 16 professional interpreters across several language combinations. Our support included professional interpreters, interpretation equipment and on-site technical assistance for the different sessions, ensuring participants could follow and contribute to discussions in their respective working languages.

During the same period, TISEH teams were also supporting three other international meetings across Nairobi: Women, Peace & Security in Sudan at Fairview Hotel, the IATI Meeting at Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport, and the African Union Member States Validation Workshop at Ole Sereni Hotel. Across the concurrent assignments, 20 interpreters were deployed, with interpretation covering English, Arabic, French, Portuguese and Spanish.

Parallel conference sessions require interpretation arrangements that can accommodate several discussions taking place at the same time. By deploying dedicated interpreters, equipment and technical personnel across the breakout sessions, TISEH enabled multilingual participation throughout the conference while simultaneously supporting other international meetings taking place in Nairobi.
